What's cooking in my studio

Posted on January 09 2020

2020 Here we go!

It’s been a long time since I have done this, and I feel like it's about time to share my weekly update with you.
For me it’s documenting my journey and for you it’s an opportunity to take a peek behind the scenes to my ceramic studio.
So, let’s dive in!

I know I’ve mentioned it before, nature is amazing and a huge inspiration to my work.
There are several items on my table, but my focus now is on the pressed flowers designs. It all began when I wanted to make something different, but once I started combining pressed flowers into my ceramic designs, I couldn't stop.
Nature has so much to offer, and I know, that’s something that would go for a long time.
I make these botanical designs from stoneware clay, stamped with real flowers and plants I picked up in my morning walks and glazed in beautiful shades of happy colors.
Let me share with you the process and a few of the ceramic designs I create with this technique.
